Don Kaufman, President and CEO, Owner:

Mr. Don Kaufman was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Don successfully completed a five year mechanical apprenticeship program. Don worked for Kaufman Plumbing and Heating, Inc., for several years before incorporating his own fire protection company. Don Kaufman is a member of American Fire Sprinkler Association and has served as a regional representative on the National Board of Directors the past five years. He is also a member of the Society of Professional Estimators.


Richard Galbreath, Senior Designer

Mr. Richard Galbreath has over 35 years experience in the fire protection industry designing diverse fire protection systems covering wet, dry, deluge, foam and specialty systems. He has valuable experience in design, shop fabrication, field installation and estimating fire sprinkler systems. Richard is an expert in Auto Cad implementing fully computerized project design department utilizing SprinkCad software.

Rob Kurzeka, Field Superintendent

Mr. Rob Kurzeka joined the Kaufman Fire Protection Team in April 1983. He became a pipe fitter three years later in 1985. Rob has proven leadership and continues to pass on knowledge to all field personnel. Rob has successfully completed numerous safety training courses and is certified in Backflow Prevention Testing, First Aid + CPR, and Lockout Tag out. Mr. Kurzeka has invaluable experience in installation of all types of fire protection systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and FM-200 systems.


Pete Gutierrez, Shop Foreman

Mr. Pete Gutierrez has been with Kaufman Fire Protection Systems, Inc., for over 19 years. He holds all the necessary certifications required for a pipe welder, IAW AWS D10.9, 1980 AR-3. Pete is also the head-purchasing agent for Kaufman Fire Protection.
